We pollinate local orchards in the spring and produce wildflower honey and beeswax for sale to the public.  Our honey is cold-filtered and bottled at low temperature to preserve the enzymes, color, and flavor that makes local honey a natural health food.  All of our products are made of honey and wax originating directly from our own hives located in Southeastern Connecticut.

About Us

Alan and Ashley Holmberg are fulfilling a family tradition that has been going on for over 30 years. Alan’s father, a hobbyist beekeeper, introduced Alan to beekeeping over 20 years ago, and 5 years ago he gave Alan a gift of two hives when he bought his first house in Preston, CT. Finding time between Alan’s commercial fishing and Ashley’s work as a physical therapist, and not to mention their two dogs, chickens, guinea hens, and free range turkeys, Alan has expanded his two gift hives into 100 colonies. Alan fashions his own hive equipment from native eastern white pine, while Ashley helps out and makes candles from the beeswax. Alan and Ashley invite you to enjoy the fruits (or should we say honey) of their growing honey farm.

Alan has a B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Marine Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and keeps up to date on current apiculture skills by attending classes at the Cornell Master Beekeeping Program. He is also a member of the following professional affiliations:
